That's the reaction of just one brave woman who says she has had intimate photographs plastered over a horrifying online forum. A website that was posting photos of women from across Hertfordshire recently popped up online, with their names and addresses published alongside sometimes-naked photos. Many of the photographs had ly been sent privately to others in good faith - and the women we spoke to were all horrified that they've now been spread across the Internet against their will. One of the most shocking instances came when one woman, who is now in her late 20s, claimed she had an image of her at 15 years old posted on the site.
Taking, making and sharing indecent images of someone who is under the age of 18 is against the law. While she readily admits that taking the photos in the first place was a naive error, having them ed online without her permission made her feel angry and betrayed. The woman, who remains anonymous to help protect her identity, said: "I was young and silly [when I took the photos].
My name, my face, my work, my town, where I'm from. Anyone could get hold of that. It's a stalker's heaven. If you want to see that sort of stuff there's porn websites for that with people who have consented. The website, which Hertfordshire Police say they are aware of, is still accessible. On it, some members have posted abhorrent comments such as: "I would kill for some Hemel, grew up there and know that they definitely have nudes about just never seen them.
One of the women is a mother and says the thought of her photos being shared on sites like this fills her with horror. It's just wrong. She says it isn't the first time photos of her have been released online, and she finds it concerning that it's happened again.
If a girl hasn't sent you a nude there's probably a reason. Why would you go on the internet and actively search for her and go onto a forum with other creeps? It's just not normal. Another anonymous victim of the site claims her Snapchat was hacked and, a few months later, intimate images then appeared on the new website.
She added: "I sent those photos to my boyfriend, obviously expecting it to go nowhere, and then you get hacked and you don't think that's going to end up on the internet. The range of photos that appear on the site differ from women in normal clothing - sometimes gym gear - to even performing sexual acts. None of the women HertsLive spoke to had consented for these images to be posted on this specific website.
Many were also left frustrated after reporting the matter to Hertfordshire Police and with the little action that was subsequently taken. A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "Police are aware of the website and are making enquiries at this time. One woman, who remains anonymous, was alerted to the website when she got a text from her friend. At the time, I was visiting my best friend who'd just had a baby so at the time I was like 'I can't just sit here and look at these images, I have no idea what's up there'.
She freely admits she got off lightly and was 'quite lucky' because she used to do lingerie modelling and those photos, which were already out in the public domain on sites like Only Fans, were posted on the site. Someone has actually gone out of their way to put my real name and where I live.
A woman, who was sent the link by someone she knew, managed to track eight of the women who had their photos ed to the website. She could trace the women just by the details posted by users of the forum, such as their name and addresses. That's the scary part for me," she told HertsLive anonymously.
That's not the problem. These types of websites and online forums pop up all the time, making it often impossible for the relevant authorities to keep track of. Requests for removal of non-consensual explicit or intimate personal images from Google can be made, but this just removes it from the Google search engine and not from the internet.
You may also have an authorized representative complete the form on your behalf. Get more details on that process here. They're local men, they could be people that we're already friends with who were posting the pictures of these girls.
